Prefer depth to superficiality, breadth to narrowness, flexibility (within reason) to rigidity, warmth to reserve, classy to crass, athletic to couch potato, sensitivity to self-centeredness, outdoors to indoors, communication to criticism, stonewalling or defensiveness, integrity to game-playing, self-knowledge to unawareness, spiritual to religious or atheist, partnership and synergy to parallelism, romance to taking one's partner for granted, HSA (heart-strings attached) to NSA (no strings attached), curiosity to self-satisfaction, single or divorced or widowed to separated or married, affection and touch to standoffishness, making love to having sex, simplicity to complexity, the present moment to the past or future, gratitude to ingratitude, giving back to still taking, a swimmer's build to a linebacker's build, clean-shaven to facial hairs, little or no drinking to regular or abusive drinking, hygiene to cooties, somewhat organized to total bedlam.
