I'm a retired college professor/consultant just coming back to dating 18 months after my wonderful wife died of cancer. I have two great kids, now adults, from my first marriage which, unfortunately, ended in divorce. So here I am headed around for the third time, but I feel that I still have a lot of life to live, and a lot to offer the right woman. I'm in good health and quite vigorous. I play a lot of tennis and golf and try to work out every day. I have pretty wide-ranging interests like classical music, collecting wine, and dining out at ethnic restaurants. I read a great deal, especially in my field but also in science and philosophy. And I'm still very curious about the world. I lived in Japan for seven years and have travelled extensively, and would like to travel more. My house is not a mansion, but it is a substantial, well-appointed home with a waterfall and gazebo in the backyard, and the inside filled with original art, books, CDs and a baby-grand. As for my personality, I'm probably serious half the time and laughing my head off the other half. I'm generally optimistic about life but I'm also enough of a Buddhist to know that it is all ephemeral. -I think I'm pretty honest and straight-forward, and I'm certainly a loyal, one-woman man---I was married for 18 years each time. As weird as this journey through life can be, I still find the trip worth taking, but I know that it is so much richer when it can be shared. Naturally, I'm looking for a fabulous woman: Bright and sophisticated, romantic and sexy, and with a real sense of humor. Someone who is self-confident and happy with herself, but not so set in her ways that she is not open to new experiences or unwilling to take chances. And, someone sufficiently free of children and other obligations that she has time to travel, attend concerts, try new restaurants, and so on. In short, someone who could become a best friend and partner as well as a lover and life companion.
